Earl Thomas 'Tom' Miller

HURON — Earl Thomas "Tom" Miller, 83, passed away on Feb. 22, 2022, at his home in Nolensville, Tennessee. Tom and his wife, Myra, lived in Huron for 53 years prior to moving to Nolensville, Tennessee, with their daughter Mari and her family. Tom was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Miller City, Ohio, to Nicholas Alton Miller and Mary Ellen (Peters) Miller. He grew up in Arcadia, Ohio. He graduated from Arcadia Schools, Tiffin University and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Ford Motor Company but continued to work, most recently as a custodian at The Chapel in Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Huron, then The Chapel in Sandusky. Tom was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. His wife and daughters recall his daily time spent in prayer and reading the Bible. His quiet, humble spirit and silly humor will be missed. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Myra Ann (Weigel) Miller, daughters Cyndy (Miller) Estep and Mari (Miller) Wood, grandchildren Bryce Alan Estep, Joshua Thomas Wood, John Maxwell Wood and Elizabeth Ann Wood. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his son Robert (Bobby) Miller and grandson Nicholas S. Estep. Tom gave his body as a donation to medical research to Genesis. A memorial service will be planned at a later date at The Chapel, Sandusky.
