HURON TWP. — The allure of people wearing her customized clothing and then feeling better about themselves fascinates Sierra Terry.How much? Enough to quit her teaching career and pursue a lifelong passion for fashion.Terry recently started Get Glamorous with Sierra, a local custom boutique in which she makes made-to-order shirts — they range from T-shirts, sweatshirts, crewnecks, V-necks to hoodies and more in virtually any size — for women, men and children.From designing the product to pressing vinyl on various shirt styles, Terry makes everything from her Huron-area home, where her husband, Joel, and their 2-year-old son, J.T., also reside."I'm a one-stop shop," said Terry, a former Sandusky Schools educator, who owns and operates her business. "I can do basically any design on any style of clothing. People will love my shirts. I use very high-quality products. Terry creates every aspect of each shirt she makes from her Huron-area home.Terry works with each individual customer to capture a specific look and feel for essentially any occasion. She's created specialty shirts for sports teams, family vacations, birthday parties and bachelorette outings.Additionally, she sells apparel boasting area squads, such as the Sandusky Blue Streaks, Perkins Pirates and Huron Tigers, and local features found in the Firelands Region, like Lake Erie."I love that I get to be creative and use my artistic ability every day, all day long, and that is the best part of my job," Terry said. "I have things that no one else has. You are not going to see what I am putting out anywhere else."After starting her business almost a year ago, Terry circled 2019 as the year to further establish and expose her brand. She recently attended the Bayfront Brew & Bazaar event in downtown Sandusky and plans on setting up shop at various other festivals later this summer."I don't know where it will take me, but I just want to keep running with it," Terry said. "One day, I would love to have my own storefront and own a boutique.
