6 people arrested in connection to fatal shooting

PERKINS TWP. — Six people have been arrested in connection with Monday's shooting death at Kalahari's employee housing complex. Perkins officers were dispatched to the employee housing building on the 5900 block of Milan Road (U.S. 250) around 12:45 a.m. Monday morning for an assault. Deontre Ravon Tate, 24, of the Cleveland area, was found with one gunshot wound, he was declared dead at the scene. After discovering the suspects may be in Toldeo, Perkins police detectives reached out to the Toledo Police Department's Gang Unit, according to a release from Perkins police. Three suspects were determined to be involved with the shooting. Here are their names and charges: • Delonnie C. Brown, 26, aggravated murder and aggravated burglary, both first degree felonies • Daquan D. Brown, 19, aggravated burglary, first degree felony • Quinton Cangelo, 22, aggravated burglary, first degree felony All are from the Toledo area, and two of the three work at Kalahari, police said. Further interviews and investigation revealed three additional suspects suspected of tampering with evidence: • Sofia Alayza, 20, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony • Jems Vasquez, 20, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony • Grims Vasquez, 20, complicity tampering with evidence, third-degree felony All three are from the Toledo area and all of them work at Kalahari, according to police. Tate, who was not an employee of Kalahari, was hit with one gunshot from Delonnie. A second shot from Delonnie hit Daqaun, Delonnie's brother, in the leg, police said. The suspects and the vehicle they had left in was found by Toledo police, according to the release. As of Tuesday, all six suspects are locked up in Erie County Jail.
