Pirates get seven pins in dual win over Sandusky

PERKINS TWP. — Perkins recorded seven pins in a 60-15 dual meet victory over crosstown rival Sandusky on Wednesday night. Wyatt Nemitz recorded the dual's fastest pin, in 1 minute, 2 seconds, to score six points in a 120-pound match against Jarrett Jackson. Joey Meggitt (126), Zach Oprzadek (138), Owen Prentice (150), Keegan Schoen (157), Zach Zoellner (215) and Adam West (285) also recorded pins for the Pirates. Oprzaek's pin gave the Pirates a 33-0 lead after six matches, which included two forfeits. Sandusky's Mason Henley, at 144 pounds, recorded the Blue Streaks' only pin. Also Wednesday, Ashland defeated Perkins 51-21. The Pirates picked up pins by Meggitt, Collin Calderon and Oprzadek.
