Woman pleads guilty to child porn charges

NORWALK — A Willard woman pleaded guilty to felony charges of pandering obscenity after being accused of attempted promoting prostitution of a child. Jessica A. Rigg, 29, entered her guilty plea on Nov. 23. Rigg's plea includes six second-degree felony counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, one fourth-degree felony count of the same offense and one second-degree felony count of endangering children. Rigg was initially indicted on 19 felony charges, included six counts of endangering children and four counts attempted promoting prostitution. According to the initial indictment, Rigg allegedly "induced or procured" a 12-year-old to engage in sexual activity for hire. The indictment notes the incident happened on four separate occasions in the fall of 2020. Willard police arrested Rigg on April 27, she was released on $100,000 bond and given a no-contact order for anyone under the age of 18, according to court documents. Sentencing for the case is scheduled for Feb. 1 in Huron County. Rigg faces up to 25 years in prison if given the maximum sentence and she will be registered as a tier II sex offender.
