Don't sleep on AdaRina TeePee Rental

SANDUSKY — A local business can create the nostalgic, calming feeling of sleeping outdoors without leaving the comforts of an indoor home. AdaRina TeePee Rental lends out customized teepees — consisting of air mattresses, sheets, pillows, blankets, fabric banners and other add-ons, such as twinkle lights or lanterns — for boys or girls between the ages of 5 and 10. Parents or guardians can request the services of business owner Brittany Frantz, who personally makes and sets up these temporary bed-forts for special occasions, like birthday parties, or a way to spice up a standard sleepover. "It's just really unique," said Frantz, who first started making teepees for her daughters, Adalynn, 8, and Audrina, 4. Their names combined the business name: AdaRina. Her husband and business co-owner, Charles, encouraged her to pursue this endeavor. Charles oversees the building components, and Frantz takes on all decorating, assembling and de-assembling aspects. "When we looked it up (on social media) to see if anyone had something like this in the area to rent out, we didn't, so my husband and I said, 'Let's do it,'" Frantz said. Frantz started AdaRina about four years ago in Bellevue but recently moved to Sandusky, where she plans on relaunching her business in this new market. "But we still serve Bellevue and all surrounding areas, including Sandusky," Frantz said. Frantz encourages people to view her social media pages, by searching for "AdaRina TeePee Rental," to get a better feel of what they can expect. "Kids that age, 5 to 10, they will remember the parties you throw for them, and something like this will help them remember it," Frantz said. "We are able to just give something that is more unique and a little bit more special to make that birthday stand out."
