Come Dot the i or Block the M

SANDUSKY — The chance to run/walk O-H-I-O returns in 2021 to downtown Sandusky — and there's even a block M route for those supporting "That Team Up North." The unique street gride of Sandusky gives Buckeye and Wolverine fans a pregame event for the annual Dot the i, Block the M walk/run on Saturday. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. Participants start at Central Park near Cameo Pizza and begin their GPS at the start of the race. The course will include markings and signs along the way until participants finish the walk or run, which can range between 4 miles and 5 miles. For walkers, there is a Big O 1-mile option. Aid stations will include water as the participants cheer and jeer each other on their respective routes. Those "dotting the i" will have a photo finish as they put on a sousaphone to cap off their achievement. Finishers of both courses will receive a finisher medal provided by Buckeye Broadband. Awards will be given for the first male and female finishers from each course as well as the most-spirited fan for each team. All participants will receive a finisher medal and be treated to an afterparty for the race. The afterparty will also serve as a pre-party for The Game as Ohio State and Michigan face off in college football, marking one of the best rivalries in sports.
