What stores are open Thanksgiving, Black Friday?

SANDUSKY — After years of staying open on Thanksgiving, Target now follows the lead of many other big-box stores. "What started as a temporary measure driven by the pandemic is now our new standard — one that recognizes our ability to deliver on our guests' holiday wishes both within and well beyond store hours," Target CEO Brian Cornell recently said in a note to employees first obtained by the Associated Press. Along with Target, a majority of these nationwide retailers with local locations will keep their stores closed on Thanksgiving. It sprung from last year when businesses ceased operations on this Thursday to limit crowds and ensure customer safety because of COVID-19. But count on them reopening in full force on Friday, for Black Friday, and offering a bunch of sales and discounts — helping ring in the biggest and busiest shopping season on the calendar.
