Culver's brings ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard to Perkins Twp.

PERKINS TWP. — Culver's, a chain restaurant known for its ButterBurgers and fresh frozen custard, will officially open at 10 a.m. Monday.Located at 4637 Milan Road, Culver's will serve fast, casual food, cooked to order, meaning guests' food is not made until after they order it. The location will be open 10 am to 11 pm apart from some holidays.Franchise owner-operator Michael Green, partners Steve Buchmeier and Josh Clark, along with the Sandusky Chamber of Commerce and Culver's co-founder Craig Culver, will be on hand to cut the ribbon at the new restaurant at 9 a.m. Friday, June 21."We're excited to open and become an active member of the community," Green said. "When Sandusky residents are looking for handcrafted meals and tasty frozen treats, we'll be ready to serve them with the warm hospitality Culver's is known for."Green, 25, started at Culver's in June 2015. He said he looks forward to becoming a big part of the Sandusky community and potentially a lacrosse coach in the Erie County school district. Buchmeier joined Culver's in 2012 when he partnered with Clark to help open restaurants in Florida. After opening two locations together in Port Charlotte, Fla., they now own a part of five Culver's locations. Clark along with this wife, Jen, are also partners in four other Culver's locations in Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.Culver's signature sandwich, the ButterBurger, is made with 100 percent fresh, never frozen beef. It gets its name from its lightly buttered and toasted bun.Culver's fresh frozen custard gets its legendary creamy decadence from high-quality, fresh Wisconsin dairy. Each batch is handcrafted throughout the day. Guests can customize their frozen treats with more than 30 mix-ins and toppings. Culver's offers three flavors of Fresh Frozen Custard every day: vanilla, chocolate and a Flavor of the Day.Other guest favorites include chicken sandwiches and garden salads.
