THROUGHOUT THE WEEK PORT CLINTON • Christmas Market: The Arts Garage, 31 W. Perry St., is having a Christmas Market starting on Saturday and is open until Dec. 31. On Mondays through Fridays, it is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the weekends, it is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market features a bunch of Christmas-related goods and will offer workshops. SANDUSKY • Flea Market: The Erie County Senior Center, 620 E. Water St., is hosting a flea market 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is for three days, it started on Wednesday, Nov. 3 and will end tomorrow, Friday Nov. 5. KELLEYS ISLAND Owl Fest: Owl Fest is taking over Kelleys Island this weekend. On Friday, attendees will meet at 8 p.m. at the North Pond parking lot on Ward Street for an owl prowl. On Saturday and Sunday, attendees can meet at the Scheele Preserve on Monaghan Road to look for and band Saw-Whet Owls. For all three days, attendees should wear a headlamp, bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. VERMILION Christmas Holiday Art Show: From Monday through Nov. 12, the Main Street Vermilion Arts Guild, 685 Main St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. showing new, Christmas-themed art. TODAY HURON • LEGO Builders Club: Drop into the Huron Public Library, 333 Williams St., from 4-5:30 p.m. to make a LEGO-themed creation. The last time for drop-in is at 5:15 p.m. Registration is required. SATURDAY SANDUSKY • World War II and the Maritime History of the Sandusky Area: Head to the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, 125 Meigs St., at 1 p.m. for a historical program presented by Molly Sampson. • Humane Society of Erie County 5K: The Humane Society of Erie County is hosting a 5K throughout downtown Sandusky. The race begins at Bait House Brewery on Meigs Street, and the race kicks off at 9 a.m. Same-day registration starts at 8 a.m. BERLIN HEIGHTS Tap into Ohio Maple Syrup: Head to the Berlin Public Library from noon to 1 p.m. to learn more about Ohio maple syrup with a presentation by Janet Bowman of Wakeman Maple Farms. MONDAY HURON Socrates Cafe Discussion Group: Head to the Huron Public Library at 7 p.m. to engage in a philosophical discussion with community members.
