PREP ROUNDUP: Monroeville's Graisyn Yoder hits 1,000 career kills in sweep of Margaretta

MONROEVILLE — It was another milestone volleyball match for Graisyn Yoder. The Monroeville standout recorded her 1,000th career kill -- one match after getting her 1,000th career dig -- in Monday night's 25-21, 25-19, 25-13 sweep of Margaretta. Yoder had 17 kills, 14 digs and two blocks to lead the Eagles, who are 17-3 and ranked No. 13 in this week's Division IV coaches' poll. Maddie Daniel added 14 kills, Hannah Lyons had 32 assists and Lilly White finished with 20 digs for Monroeville, which finishes the regular season Tuesday at South Central and Thursday at No. 11 St. Paul. Yoder is the third Monroeville volleyball player to reach 1,000 career kills and the second to hit both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, matching Breanna Kramer. For Margaretta, Devyne Eisenhauer had 19 kills and 26 digs. Kylie Leibacher added 12 kills and 15 digs and Jilienne Nason finished with 29 assists. Perkins 3, SMCC 0 SANDUSKY — Perkins won its ninth straight match, sweeping St. Mary Central Catholic 25-17, 25-21, 25-20. Elizabeth Ziegler led the Pirates with eight kills and Kelley Baker added seven kills and three aces. Madison Satterfield had 27 assists and Cameron Kaufman had 15 digs for the Pirates (17-2), who host Vermilion on Tuesday with a chance to claim a tie for first place in the SBC Lake Division. Alexa Samstag led SMCC with eight kills and five blocks. Jenna Faber had 15 assists and Brittan Kromer finished with seven digs. Ross 3, Port Clinton 0 FREMONT — Fremont Ross swept Port Clinton 25-17, 30-28, 25-21. Alliyah Wharton had seven kills and Nora Bodie added six for PC. Kennedy Adkins had 10 digs. BOYS SOCCER Perkins 2, Willard 0 WILLARD — Dylan Swander and Keegan Schoen scored goals to lead Perkins to a 2-0 win over Willard. Billy Smith added an assist for the Pirates, who improved to 13-2-1. Perkins finishes the regular season Thursday night at Springfield (Holland). GIRLS SOCCER Port Clinton 8, Rossford 0 ROSSFORD — Katerina Fillmore scored a hat trick as Port Clinton shut out Rossford 8-0. Jade Mitchell and Gladys Wiechman each added two goals and an assist for the Redskins (12-2). Brooke Martinez had a goal and an assist and Morgan Woods had three assists. Morgan Delhees also had an assist for PC. Olivia Perry and Nora Rosario played in goal and the defense of Gabbi Porter, Alexis Spears, Rebekah Nehls, Amelia Finn, Jasmine Biers, Paeja Leow notched its fourth shutout this season. The scoreless PC-Rossford boys match was canceled 15 minutes into the match due to an injury to an official. Perkins 12, Oberlin 1 PERKINS TWP. — Peyton Klein and Sophia Ralofsky each had hat tricks to lead Perkins to a 12-1 win over Oberlin. Caitlin Frankfather added two goals while MacKenzie Wright, Maggie McVeigh, Lillie Thom and Emma Sturzinger each had one goal. Ralofsky had two assists while McVeigh and Leanna Marianek each had one. The Pirates (10-2-3) host Shelby at 6 p.m. Wednesday in their last home game of the regular season. Edison 1, Clyde 1 CLYDE — Edison and Clyde tied 1-1. Abigail Hearing scored the Chargers' goal.
