Police on scene near Walmart

Update 6:30 p.m. PERKINS TWP. — A man who allegedly robbed a Perkins Township bank Friday morning is at large, according to the FBI. Perkins police were called to First Federal Bank on Milan Road (U.S. 250) for an incident called in by a panic alarm. Officers arrived at the scene and confirmed that the bank had been robbed, Perkins police chief Vince Donald said. The suspect threatened a teller with the use of a weapon and fled the bank on foot, according to an FBI news release. The suspect is a Black male in his 20s approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 160-180 pounds. He was dressed in a black dress with a hoodie and sunglasses. He also had a scarf covering his face and was wearing women's sandals. The man left in an unknown direction, according to the reports. The amount taken is undetermined at this time. The suspect is a Black male, dressed in a black dress with a head covering and sunglasses, the man left in an unknown direction, Donald said. The amount taken is undetermined at this time.
