Medical spa moves into Huron

HURON — Let's face it: Skin is important, and ensuring it gets and stays in good condition can provide many benefits. It's among the main reasons why owner Kellie Deeter and her business partner Jacqueline Burdge, a licensed advanced aesthetician, decided to open up Firelands Medispa in Huron. It's located at 364 N. Main St. behind the post office. "We are experienced medical professionals that combine advances in medical technology and expertise to help you achieve rejuvenated, healthy-looking skin," said Deeter, who's a licensed nurse practitioner and nurse anesthetist. She also owns Firelands Anesthesia in Norwalk. "Our goal is to improve self-confidence, helping people feel and look their best," Deeter said. Firelands offers many services revolving around anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. This would include: • Botox or a temporary treatment of dynamic and static wrinkles • Fillers for lips, lip lines, cheeks, chin, jawline and folds around the nose and mouth • A medical-grade salt facial • Ultherapy or skin lifting and tightening with the use of a micro-focused ultrasound • Micro-needling or collagen-induction therapy • Chemical peels or superficial and medium-depth peels • Eyelash lift and tint • Eyebrow micro-blading and micro-shading "All of this just helps people achieve their best self," Deeter said. "If they look good, then they will feel good." Firelands Medispa is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and by appointment on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
