Vaccines available at Ohio's Walmart stores today

Walmart is offering free COVID-19 vaccines as part of today's Walmart Wellness Day in Ohio. The event will be held at Walmart pharmacies statewide from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with COVID-19 vaccines, other immunizations will be offered, along with free health screenings including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and (at select locations) vision screenings. Attendees can also receive consultations with the Walmart pharmacy team. The goal of the event is to help people who have delayed care during the pandemic catch up on preventive care. The event was highlighted in the Ohio Department of Health's "Innovative Ideas" newsletter, which focuses on different approaches agencies and communities are taking to get their communities vaccinated.
