William Alfred Parker

SANDUSKY — William Alfred Parker, 85, of Sandusky, passed away on Sunday afternoon, July 18, 2021, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. He was born on June 13, 1936, on Put-in-Bay to the late Alfred and Elizabeth Parker. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and upon honorable discharge, worked for Parker Boat Line and then Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1999. Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Brian (Denise) Parker, of Newport, Oregon, Scott (Caitlyn) Parker, of Ormond Beach, Florida, Deborah Parker, of Holland, Ohio, and Misty Wood, of San Diego, California; four grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Chris, and Fernanda Scarlett; siblings, Jeanette Luecke and Linda Parker, both of Put-in-Bay; and several nieces, nephews, and other loving family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bruening. After cremation, a graveside service will take place at a later date at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Put-in-Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice.
