Christopher M. Kedas and Owen J. Kedas

HURON — Christopher and his son Owen Kedas of Huron, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on June 23, 2021, off the shores of Cleveland, Ohio. Chris was born on Feb. 8, 1976, in Kansas City, Missouri, and Owen was born on July 6, 2009, in Cleveland, to Christopher and Lynn (Lower) Kedas. Chris was a loving husband and father. His family meant everything to him. He was a provider. Chris was a graduate of Lakewood High School and pursued a landscaping degree through The Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio. He was an invaluable and loved employee with South Shore Marine in Huron as a sales representative for the past 14 years. Many of his customers became friends and his wishes were for them to build memories with loved ones on the water. It was never just a "boat sale" to Chris. He will be sorely missed by his coworkers and customers. Prior, he had worked as a landscape supervisor for Valley Crest Landscape in Colorado and Brinkman Landscaping in Ohio. Chris attended the Chapel and was a member of the Erie County Conservation League. He enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling to Florida and Alaska. His greatest joy was watching his sons grow up and being active in all that they enjoyed doing. Owen attended Huron City Schools and was heading into the seventh grade, and was proud of it. He was just elected to student government and was showing interest in becoming a fighter pilot or in sports medicine. Owen attended the Chapel and had a passion for playing baseball, fishing, boating and hugging his mom. He was very artistic, athletic, patriotic, sweet and funny. Owen started playing guitar at age 6 and his goal was to be first chair playing the clarinet in the school band. Owen was a loving son, brother, friend and teammate. Chris and Owen are survived by their wife and mother Lynn (Lower) Kedas, son and brother 13-year-old Cameron Kedas, in-laws and grandparents Jim and Joan Lower of Alaska and Sherry McDonald, of Ohio; sisters-in-law and aunts Sandra (Adan) Hernandez and Diana Lower, both of Alaska, niece and cousin Lupe Hernandez, of Alaska, they are also survived by an uncle, Rollin Davis, aunt, Alice Davis and cousins Mike and Matt Davis. Chris and Owen were preceded in death by mother and paternal grandmother Jane Davis and their maternal grandparents and great-grandparents Rollin "Bud" and Phyllis Davis. Owen is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Roy and Madeline Pebsworth, of Oklahoma, and John and Kay Lower, of Alaska. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of memorial services at 4 on Wednesday, June 30, at the Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road Sandusky, OH. Pastor Jay Halley will officiate. Following services at The Chapel, all are welcome to a celebration of life for Chris and Owen at the Huron Yacht Club, 350 Huron St., Huron, Ohio.
