Update: 3 charged in Sandusky shooting death

Update 1:45 p.m. Sandusky police arrested three people in connection to the shooting death. Here are the three suspects and their charges: •Jacob Owens, 18, of Penns Grove, New Jersey, complicity to murder, a first-degree felony •Timothy W. Hill, 19, of Penns Grove, New Jersey, complicity to murder, a first-degree felony •A 16-year-old boy, of Penns Grove, New Jersey, complicity to murder, a first-degree felony Owens and Hill are both being held in the Erie County Jail without bond; the 16-year-old is being held in the Erie County Juvenile Justice Center, Sandusky police Chief Jared Oliver said. Police believe the three suspects knew the victim, 18-year-old Tajour Tye, through mutual acquaintances. The shooting occurred after a physical altercation, Oliver said. Police have not found the weapon, believed to be a handgun, used in the shooting. Oliver did not identify which of the three suspects allegedly fired the shots. More charges for the three suspects are pending, Oliver said. Original post SANDUSKY — An 18-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning. The shooting occurred around 2:15 a.m. on Erie Street, Sandusky police Chief Jared Oliver said. Law enforcement responded to the 700 block and found the victim, identified as Tajour Tye, 18, of Sandusky. "He was rushed from the scene by Sandusky fire personnel," Oliver said. "He passed away at the hospital." Oliver said his department is investigating the death as a homicide.
