Sandusky man making money moves

SANDUSKY — Even though cash leaves his ATMs, each time someone makes a transaction on Kinyon Weatherspoon's machines, he's still profiting. Owning ATMs and vending machines, and placing them in popular Sandusky locations, represents the first venture in Weatherspoon's emerging business, K-W Investments. He cites them as great business opportunities, considering people can withdraw cash or buy a snack on a 24/7 basis. "I know 'sleeping money' isn't going to make money," Weatherspoon said. "I'm putting my money, my investments, somewhere where I'm making money while I'm sleeping, and then I'll have a better chance of being financially free." Weatherspoon said he imposed a below-average surcharge, or fee, for people who use his machines. "I don't want to rip people off," said Weatherspoon, a city resident. "I want to make it comfortable for everyone to use." Weatherspoon sees himself investing in massage chairs next to further diversify, and evolve, his company. "I've always wanted to be financially free," the 2018 Sandusky High School graduate said. "I don't want to work for anybody else for the rest of my life." Weatherspoon recently dropped off his company's first ATM at the Hall of Fame Barbershop, owned by John Hall, in Sandusky Plaza. "I support all the young entrepreneurs," Hall said. "I want to try to help as many people as I can and see them grow. Kinyon wants to get his start here, my customers will use it, and we'll all be helping him out."
