Counting the reasons why 100+ Women care

100+ Women Who Care in Erie County is a dedicated group of Erie County women who care deeply about the Erie County, Ohio, community. 100+ women gather four times a year for a one-hour meeting, listen to charity presentations by the membership, vote — by majority rules — and then each member writes a $100 check to the nonprofit charity that the members have selected. This combined donation of $10,000, or more, at each meeting makes a real impact for the local charity without time-consuming fundraising events and planning. Our mission and our hope is to provide for those in greatest need in Erie County. To date, 100+ Women Who Care in Erie County has distributed over $173,000 to member-selected charities. The member donations have supported children's programs, food pantries, the arts, animal shelters and social programs. We meet during the second Thursday in January, April, July and October with social time between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., which is optional, and our one-hour meeting from 6:15-7:15 p.m. at the SanduskyYacht Club. Since July 2020, we have been meeting virtually because of the pandemic. Through the committed support of our dedicated membership, we have continued to raise approximately $10,000 at each virtual meeting. Once the health orders are lifted, and we can once again meet safely, the group will resume meeting in-person at the Sandusky Yacht Club to continue to help our community. 100+ Women Who Care is for you if: • You don't have time in your busy life to volunteer but have been wanting to help those in need and you can commit to one hour every three months • You are involved in other groups but are interested in meeting other philanthropists in Erie County • You want 100% of your donations to go directly to a local charity • You want your $100 donation to become a part of a larger amount of money by joining together with other women, creating a powerful impact in our local area New membership forms are available on our website, 100WomenWhoCareinErieCounty.com.
