Report: Bus driver groped woman

PERKINS TWP. — Police charged a Wisconsin man who allegedly groped a Perkins Township restaurant employee on Monday. Vicente Lozano, 72, of South Milwaukee, faces four charges: • One count of kidnapping, a first-degree felony • Two counts of gross sexual imposition, each a fourth-degree felony • One count of soliciting, a third-degree misdemeanor The incident occurred outside a restaurant in the 5200 block of Milan Road (U.S. 250) at about 8:30 p.m., according to a Perkins police report. An 18-year-old woman who works at the restaurant told law enforcement that a man, later identified as Lozano, called to order food. She said the man was driving a tour bus. The employee said she went into the bus to bring the man his to-go order, and the man made a comment about taking her on a date, according to the report. The man complimented her and asked to take her mask off so he could see her face, which the woman refused to do. The bus driver then allegedly groped the woman while giving her a hug, according to the report. He also allegedly gave the woman his business card and offered the woman money in exchange for sex acts, which she refused. The woman told officers she was afraid to push the man away from her because she thought she might fall down the stairs of the bus. The woman eventually got away from the bus and returned to the restaurant "crying and obviously very upset," the report states. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the alleged assault, Detective Tim Alexander said. Perkins police found Lozano and his tour bus at a nearby hotel, the report states. He told police he gave the woman a compliment and hugged her but denied groping her or offering her money. Police arrested Lozano and took him to the Erie County Jail, where he remains without bond as of Tuesday afternoon.
