Bite into Brew and BBQ

Editor's note: Justin Dietz is a Register correspondent representing CPFoodBlog.com and @CPFoodBlog on Twitter.SANDUSKY — It seems like just yesterday when we were telling you about the new dining changes happening around Cedar Point this season, the new signature Brew Kettle beer, and the construction status of the new Cedar Point Shores water park.Now here we are, and Cedar Point is open for daily operation — and we are about to experience the first major event of the season: Brew and BBQ.Regardless of whether you have been to Brew and BBQ or are a first timer, this is an excellent opportunity to get out and see the park while enjoying a well put together event.For the third year, Cedar Point will bring in more than 100 different craft beers and pair them with classic barbecue cuisine prepared by executive chef Phil Bucco and his team. Brew and BBQ takes place in the back of the park, outside of the Maverick roller coaster entrance. Your admission gets you 15 tickets, a souvenir sample mug and access to live entertainment.Additional tickets can be purchased at the event. One ticket gets you a sample of beer; or a sample of barbecue food; or, new for 2017, one dessert. Three tickets gets you a 12-ounce beer or a full serving of barbecue. One ticket can also be used at the Round Up for a 16-ounce Coca-Cola product.Among the purchase options:• For people who are passholders, resort guests or marina patrons, tickets for Brew and BBQ are $25. This does not include admission into the amusement park.• For all other guests, tickets for Brew and BBQ purchased at the park are $30. This does not include admission into the amusement park.• Season passholders can purchaseBrew and BBQ tickets online for $20.
