PREP ROUNDUP: Baker's three extra-base hits key Perkins win

SANDUSKY — Perkins moved to 3-9 on the season with a 4-3 softball win over St. Mary Central Catholic on Thursday at Dorn Park. Kelley Baker's RBI double in the top of the seventh inning scored Cameron Kaufman to provide what proved to be the winning run for the Pirates. Baker finished the day 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple. SMCC's Allie Weilnau struck out 14 hitters, giving her 166 strikeouts on the season. Ethan Hendrickson earned the win on the mound for Vermilion in five innings of work, and he also hit a two-run home run. Jack Wells had three hits and two RBI for the Sailors, as well.
