John Henry Cohen

John Henry Cohen, formerly of Sandusky passed away March 25, 2021, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Born to Simon Cohen and Cora Lee on Sept. 1, 1944, he resided in Sandusky for many years until he moved to Youngstown, Ohio, to pursue his passion for driving trucks. "I am at peace, my soul's at rest. There is no need for tears. For with your love, I was so blessed for all those many years." Leaving to cherish his memory and missing him dearly his daughters, Felecia Gowdy of Marietta, Georgia, Theresa Moore of Sandusky and Shasheila Cohen of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sons, John Odom of Orlando, Florida, and Terrance Colbert of Oxnard, California; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Cohen of Columbus, Ohio; and brother, Simon Cohen Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; special niece, Ellise (Jimmy) Gaston of Columbus, Ohio; special aunt, Minnie Ruffin, Sandusky; along with special nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Cohen and Cora Lee; grandparents, Essie and Major Ruffin I, Ruth Ruffin, Minnie and Jake Lee; uncles, Major Ruffin II, Frison Ruffin, Henry Ford and Ellis Cohen; aunts, Louise Wilson, Louberta Brown, Alberta Sykes and Ruthie Lee Ruffin; granddaughter, Tamara Blakely; and other family. Family and friends are welcome to cherish his life on Saturday, April 17 with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Shoreline Park. Bishop Rufus GW Sanders will officiate. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling the local arrangements.
