Lake Front Market making comeback

HURON — A relatively new but popular event bringing together community members, be it vendors or shoppers, returns later this summer. Organizers recently announced they're making preparations to, once again, host the Lake Front Market in Huron. Back for a third year, organizers needed to cancel last year's event due to COVID-19 and subsequent restrictions placed on public gatherings. Organizers, however, vowed to keep all participants safe who attend this year's event, scheduled for Saturday, June 12 at Lake Front Park off Center Street. Amy Roldan, executive director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce, putting on this event, provided some additional details: • The concept: "Lake Front Market is an open-air marketplace featuring Ohio-based vendors along one of Huron's most scenic beaches." • The offerings: "The event will feature food trucks, a beachfront bar, live music, kids' activities and numerous vendors of authentic goods." • The reason: "The Huron Chamber of Commerce is very proud of this event and the opportunity it gives small businesses and a great event for our community members of all ages and surrounding areas to enjoy." • The safety factors: "We look forward to a safe outdoor event that will offer a little more open space between vendors and for our visitors to enjoy and will follow all requirements by the Erie County Health Department at that time.
