Friday update: Erie and Sandusky Counties cancel Level 1

Update 3:15 p.m. Friday Erie and Sandusky counties have canceled their Level 1 advisories. Huron and Ottawa counties remain under a Level 1 advisory. Update 11 a.m. Thursday Erie and Ottawa counties are back at Level 1 snow advisories. Sandusky County remains at a Level 1 and Huron County has upgraded to a Level 2. There are three levels that can be issued: • Level 1: Roadways are hazardous due to accumulated snow or ice. Drive cautiously. • Level 2: Roadways are hazardous due to blowing and drifting snow and/or ice cover. Only those who believe it is necessary to drive should be on the roadways. Contact your employer to determine if you should report to work. • Level 3: Roadways are closed to all non-emergency travel due to extremely hazardous conditions. No one should be on the roadway unless it is absolutely essential to travel. Those operating vehicles on the roadway for non-emergency reasons may be subject to arrest. Update 2 p.m. Wednesday Erie and Ottawa counties have canceled their Level 1 snow advisories. Sandusky and Huron counties remain at Level 1. Update 5:45 p.m. Ottawa, Sandusky and Huron counties joined Erie County in downgrading to a Level 1 snow emergency. Update 5 p.m. Erie County has downgraded to a Level 1. Sandusky, Huron and Ottawa counties remain at Level 2 for the moment. Update 3 p.m. As of Tuesday afternoon, Erie, Ottawa, Huron and Sandusky counties have all downgraded to a Level 2 advisory. Update 12 p.m. Tuesday Erie County has been downgraded to a Level 2 Update 9:10 p.m. Monday Sandusky County is now under a Level 3, joining Erie, Ottawa and Huron counties. Update 8:55 p.m. Erie, Ottawa, and Huron counties are all under Level 3 advisories. Sandusky County is under a Level 2. Update 8:30 p.m. Erie County is now under a Level 3 advisory. Update 7:25 p.m. Sandusky County, Huron County and Ottawa County are all now under a Level 2 advisory. Update 6:45 p.m. Erie County is now under a Level 2 advisory, according to the county sheriff's office.
