PREP ROUNDUP: Jackson's late heroics help PC edge Huron

HURON — Olivia Jackson scored 19 points to lead Port Clinton to a 55-53 girls basketball win over Huron on Saturday. With 25.2 seconds remaining, Jackson made two free throws to put the Redskins ahead 54-53. She stole the ball with three seconds remaining to seal the Redskins' win. Da'Cariya Lanier added 15 points for Port Clinton, which led by 12 at halftime. But the Tigers, led by Ava Winnestaffer's 21 points, stormed back in the second half. Mia Hurst, who finished with nine points, made two free throws to put the Tigers ahead 53-52 with 1:10 remaining. But Jackson answered with her clutch free throws. Port Clinton will play at Perkins on Tuesday. Huron will host Monroeville.
