75 years ago, 1942: Albert Fisher, cofounder and first president of Fisher Body Co., died in Henry Ford Hospital, he was 78. A pioneer in the motorcar industry, Fisher was born on a farm near Norwalk. Six months after incorporating the body company, Fisher, uncle of the seven famous Fisher Brothers, sold his holdings and founded Standard Motor Co. in 1908.
