Come on down | Sandusky Register 75 years ago, 1942: Albert Fisher, cofounder and first president of Fisher Body Co., died in Henry Ford Hospital, he was 78. A pioneer in the motorcar industry, Fisher was born on a farm near Norwalk. Six months after incorporating the body company, Fisher, uncle of the seven famous Fisher Brothers, sold his holdings and founded Standard Motor Co. in 1908. Fisher Body was sold to GM in 1926.
