2 seriously hurt in crash

Original post BAY TWP. — Two motorists suffered serious injuries in a crash on Ohio 53 in Bay Township. The crash occurred at about 5 p.m. Monday near Mulcahy Road, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A Hyundai Sonata driven by Oak Harbor resident Danny Wamsley, 68, allegedly drove into the oncoming lane and hit a Dodge Challenger driven by Port Clinton resident Adam Borror, 34, according to the release. Both vehicles ran off the road after the collision, the release states. Both drivers needed to be extricated from their vehicles and were flown from the scene by helicopters with serious injuries. Both drivers wore seatbelts, and neither alcohol nor drug impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash, according to the release. Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
