Two vehicle accident closes Bogart Road

PERKINS TWP —FULL STORY 7 a.m. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle accident that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to multiple people, according to a report from the patrol. At approximately 7:45 p.m. Monday night, a pick-up truck driven by Adam Windisch, 44, of Castalia, struck a car driven by Ryan Skrumbellos, 21, of Bellevue, at the intersection of Bogart Road and Campbell Street. Windisch was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and did not claim any injuries. Skrumbellos was cited for failure to yield while turning left and was transported to Firelands Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.Two of Skrumbellos passengers were also transported with non-life threatening injuries. Perkins Township police and fire departments assisted at the scene. ORIGINAL STORYTwo vehicles collided at the intersection of Bogart Road and Campbell Street shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday. Bogart Road is closed as emergency crews work to clean up the crash. At least one serious injury has been reported. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.Check back for updates.
