Sandusky police seize two kilograms of cocaine, three pounds of marijuana

Two men were arrested as a result.Sandusky police found two kilograms of cocaine and three pounds of marijuana inside a vehicle driven by Deonte Graves, 44, of Sandusky, according to Sandusky police Lt. Dan Lewis. This discovery came through a traffic stop around 8 p.m. on the 1400 block of Dixon Drive.Lewis said the seizure is the agency's largest in recent history.Police stopped Vernon Norman, 34, of Akron, in a separate vehicle near the intersection of Ashburn and Wamajo drives, he said. Norman, who police believe was following Graves, is being charged with complicity to drug possession and trafficking.Police believe the two were working together to traffic drugs in Sandusky, Lewis said. Police were following them on Monday evening as part of an ongoing investigation.In September, he said, authorities executed a search warrant on Graves' home in Sandusky and located approximately 100 grams of crack cocaine. Lewis said police sent that find to a lab for testing. Graves was not charged at the time.Graves and Norman were believed to be have left the same location and headed back toward Sandusky together on Monday evening, Lewis said.Norman did not immediately stop for officers, instead winding through a neighborhood for approximately two minutes before pulling over. Lewis said Graves stopped immediately.
