Erie County to offer free dental services

The Erie County Health Department/Erie County Community Health Center Dental Clinic is once again partnering to offer free dental care to children through the Give Kids a Smile program.The Give Kids A Smile program is a collaborative effort among the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, other state and component dental societies and local dental offices throughout the United States to provide dental care to children without dental coverage.As part of the local Give Kids A Smile event, Dr. Jinbo Chung, Erie County Community Health Center, Dental Clinic and Dr. Lata Stefano, Stephano Dental, and staff will offer: FREE dental care to children on Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. until noon. Services offered will be exams, cleanings and preventive care as needed.All children who do not have a dentist and/or are uninsured for dental care are eligible to participate.The Erie County Community Health Center Dental Clinic is located at 420 Superior St., Sandusky Ohio. This is a walk-in clinic.Children seen through this free program should meet any or all of the following:• Family has no dental insurance• Family cannot afford dental care• Family is experiencing financial difficulty• Child has not seen a dentist• Family is living on a limited income• Child/family is not a current patient at another dental officeThrough the Give Kids A Smile program, dentists and dental professionals across the state and nation volunteer their time to provide screenings, treatments and oral health education to children.
