What's being built at Hayes and Bogart?

PERKINS TWP. — Many community members share the same curiosity about a property under construction: "What's being built at the corner of West Bogart Road and Hayes Avenue (Ohio 4)?This past fall, Perkins Township officials approved a site plan for a Jehovah's Witness worship hall at the intersection's northeast corner.Construction work continues to build a Jehovah's Witness worship hall at West Bogart Road and Hayes Avenue (Ohio 4).Kentucky-based JW Congregation Support purchased the property, valued at about $52,000, according to Erie County auditor records."The building is one story in height and has a floor area of about 3,000 square feet," township administrator Gary Boyle said. "The project will also include a parking lot with driveway access from Bogart Road, landscaping (and) a stormwater detention pond."It's not known when construction could end or when this facility could open.This marks the first such worship hall in Perkins Township.
