SANDUSKY — Going once, going twice … Will it be sold to you?Sandusky officials brought back the ever-popular citywide public auction, scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday.Anyone can attend the event in hopes of bidding and claiming items up for sale. Prices for most items start out at a fraction of their actual retail price.Among what's up for grabs: a propane grill, a printer, elliptical machines, a snow blower, coffee pots, concrete trash receptacles, electronic transformers, buckets of paint, 76 bicycles, 10 traffic lights, miscellaneous jewelry, a drone, stuffed animals and chainsaws.Officials deemed all auction items unnecessary for city operations, but they could prove useful to others.All income generated through auction sales goes back into city coffers.Want to go?What: Auction hosted by the city of Sandusky, selling off dozens of items in the local government's collection deemed unnecessary for operationsWhere: Sandusky City Services Center, 1024 Cement Ave.When: 9 a.m. Saturday; Doors open at 8 a.m., when people can begin inspecting each item up for saleCost: Payments will be accepted in the form of cash or check with proper identification.
