Three men indicted on attempted murder charges

SANDUSKY — Three men were indicted on attempted murder charges for allegedly severely beating another man earlier this summer. The three men — Julian Clinton, 37, of North Larchmont Drive; Jamie Reynolds, 27, of Cleveland Road; and Davemedrion Abney, 24, of Shoreway Drive — were all charged with attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony. The charges stem from an alleged attack on a 39-year-old Norwalk man on Cleveland Road on July 25, according to their indictments. Sandusky police Detective Kevin Youskievicz said it's not clear if any handled weapons were used during the attack. The victim was hospitalized following the incident with "serious injuries" to his head and right eye, Youskievicz said. The men were originally charged only with felonious assault — an Erie County grand jury decided to also indict the men on the attempted murder charge due to the severity of the victim's injuries. The motive for the alleged attack is not known. Both Clinton and Abney were arrested in August and have been incarcerated in the Erie County Jail. Reynolds has not yet been arrested, Youskievicz said.
