Couple involved in fight near son

SANDUSKY — A Sandusky couple allegedly fought other people in front of their 10 year-old son, according to Sandusky Police.Laquan D. Boyd Sr., 33, and wife Ashley Boyd, 31 of 400 block Taylor St., were both charged with child endangering. Laquan also landed a criminal trespassing charge while Ashley was charged with inciting violence.Officers arrived at the scene in the 300 block of Finch Street just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The man at the residence showed police the surveillance video of the incident.The video shows a 21 year-old man knocking on the door of the Finch Street residence as Laquan walks up the driveway. The man at the door tells the Finch Street resident that Laquan took his dog, the report said.The Finch Street man tells Laquan to leave his residence several times, but Laquan yells at and threatens the other man. Even when the Finch Street man's wife tried to break them up and ask Laquan to leave, Laquan refused, according to the report.But Laquan and the Finch Street man begin to fight, with the other man hitting Laquan. They fought off camera as Ashley approached the scene, encouraging her husband to fight. Nearby, the couple's son stood close to the fight and watched, the report said.The three men eventually stopped fighting, but continued to argue. The Finch Street residents went back into their home as Laquan and Ashley caused problems. Ashley is heard saying something about pepper spray while Laquan threatens to "come back and shoot up" the home and bring his family. The Boyds and their son then left the area, the report said.The 21-year-old man told police the fight started because his dog got loose and he couldn't find it. After a neighbor told the man Laquan had taken the dog home with him, the man went to Laquan's home and retrieved his dog. When he got back home, the Boyds came to the area.When the man asked Laquan if he had seen the dog, Laquan allegedly said no, the report stated.Ashley told officers she saw the man come to her home and take the dog, but said she didn't call police because she wasn't sure where he lived.
