Forrest L. "Bud" Stewart, Sr.

ASHLAND — Forrest L. "Bud" Stewart, Sr., 88, of Ashland, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 28, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born July 14, 1931 in Lyme Township, Ohio and was a 1949 graduate of Monroeville High School. Forrest was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Ford Motor Company, Sandusky plant for 36 years, retiring in 1992. Forrest was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Ashland, a 50-year plus member of the Roby Lodge No. 534, F.&A.M., Singara Grotto, El Rey Grotto, American Legion Post 547, Norwalk VFW Post 2743, Ashland Eagles, Polk AMVETS Post 149. He enjoyed wood working, bowling and golf. Forrest is survived by one son, Forrest Lee (Brenda) Stewart, Jr., Norwalk; one daughter, Valerie Wright, Ashland; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Forrest was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice A. Stewart in 2015; his parents, Ben and Edith (Lamblin) Stewart; siblings, Virginia Pierce, Flo Portner, Donna Stewart, Lois Stewart, Eugene Stewart, Louis Stewart, Dennis Stewart, Vivian Downing, Thelma Stewart, Aileen Ludington, and Fayebelle Stewart; two granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great great-grandson. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville, where Roby Lodge will host Masonic services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Pastor Jim Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park, Ashland.
