AutoZone buys Milan Road land

PERKINS TWP. — AutoZone, Inc. recently purchased 1.3 acres of land on Milan Road (U.S. 250), next to Harbor Freight and across from Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, for $625,000.The lot of land on Milan Road, next to Harbor Freight, that was purchased by AutoZone for a new store location.Paul Ricci, the Perkins Township code enforcement officer, confirmed drawings had been submitted for an AutoZone store at the location.The company was founded in 1979 in Tennessee and has grown to be one of the largest retailers of car parts in the world.It has more than 6,000 locations — including some in Norwalk, Willard, Fremont and Clyde — in the U.S., Mexico and Brazil.
