Indictment: Woman stole more than $7,500 from employer

SANDUSKY — A Huron woman is facing felonies for allegedly defrauding her employer of more than $7,500.A grand jury indicted Heather Bess, 39, of Wilder Avenue, on Oct. 9 on two charges: Theft and forgery, both fourth-degree felonies.Bess worked as an office manager at Cantelli Block and Brick, a masonry supplier on Sawmill Parkway West in Huron, according to Erie County prosecutor Kevin Baxter.According to the indictment, between June 2016 and February 2019, Bess allegedly "deprived" the business of between $7,500 and $150,000 by "exert(ing) control over either property or services without the consent of the owner."
