Beverly 'Earl the Pearl' Johnson

CASTALIA — Beverly "Earl the Pearl" Johnson, 86, of Castalia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, 2019, in his residence surrounded by his family.He was born May 3, 1933, in Tazewell, Tenn., to Bud and Joanna Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Ford Motor Co. Earl loved working in his yard and garage, being with his family, country music, and going back home to Tennessee.Earl is survived by his wife, Cynthia Louise Johnson; daughter, Beverly Young; grandchildren, Mandy (Erica) Johnson, Melissa Hineline, Steven Earl Johnson Jr., Sydney Johnson, and Tyler Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Johnson and Zamiyah Missler.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joanna (Hopper) and Bud Johnson; daughter, Linda Johnson; son, Steven Earl Johnson Sr.; great-granddaughter, Avalyn Johnson; and two brothers, Tookie and Doyle Johnson.Friends may call from 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, until services at 7 p.m., at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S.
