Man, woman arrested after disrupting children's football game

SANDUSKY — A Sandusky woman who attempted to teach her 7-year-old's friends the "correct" way to tackle in a football game is facing misdemeanor charges.Lorianne Willard, 39, was booked in the Erie County jail on Monday on charges of child endangerment and disorderly conduct while intoxicated, according to jail records. Her boyfriend, John Fischer, 46, faces the same charges.Sandusky police responded to the 900 block of Stone St. on Monday around 4:20 p.m., according to a police report. There they met Willard, who told them that she had come out to yell at a group of children playing football. She told police she was worried they were playing too aggressively with her 7-year-old son.Then she began to play with the children, according to the report. That included tackling a child as a demonstration of the "correct" way to do so. This alarmed other families who were in the area, according to the report.The report indicates that Willard, as well as Fischer, who ran out while officers were speaking with her, were speaking loudly and clearly intoxicated.While speaking with officers, according to the report, they realized that they did not know who was watching their 2-year-old son.
