All Pat Catan's stores closing soon

SANDUSKY — The Michaels Companies on Wednesday announced its decision to close all of its Pat Catan's stores, which includes the operations in Sandusky and Norwalk.The last day these stores will remain open isn't known.Pat Catan's, primarily a crafts and floral business, operates about 35 stores throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. "After a comprehensive review, we have decided to close all of the Pat Catan's retail stores, said Chuck Rubin, the chairman and CEO of The Michaels Companies. We expect to rebrand and reopen up to 12 stores as new Michaels stores in fiscal 2019."It's not known which stores could reopen as a new Michaels store."This was not an easy decision, and I am grateful for the contributions of our Pat Catan's team members," Rubin continued.
