Accounting firm opening Sandusky office

PERKINS TWP. — A Port Clinton accounting firm with more than 50 years of experience will open its first Sandusky office.Soderberg and Brenner CPAs — led by managing partners David Soderberg and Joseph Brenner — specialize in consulting, attest services and tax compliance services for small businesses.It recently purchased accounting firms Dana Stahl CPA and John K. Krupp CPA. Combined the two firms have practiced in the Sandusky and Port Clinton area for more than 60 years."Both gentlemen have enjoyed long, successful relationships with their clients and have entrusted Soderberg and Brenner CPAs to continue offering the same excellent service to meet those needs," managing partner Joseph Brenner said.Soderberg and Brenner already have offices in Port Clinton and Oak Harbor. To better serve its new clientele, the firm will open its first Sandusky office at 1604 E. Perkins Ave."I guess we are looking to grow all the time and most places want to move west toward Toledo," Brenner said. "We wanted to go east and get into the Sandusky market, which we think is growing."The firm is already operating in the Sandusky area, but Brenner said they are still working complete the office space which they hope will officially open in the coming weeks.Soderberg and Brenner will keep on the staff from the two other firms to facilitate a smoother take over of the firms' clients and entry into the Sandusky market."We are bringing on three more employees to add to our current seven employees," Brenner said.The firm may be new to Sandusky, but it has been a well-respected business in Port Clinton since Clarence Streeter founded the firm that would become Soderberg and Brenner in the 1950s."We've been around for 50 years in the Port Clinton market and have a good reputation with our clients," Brenner said.
