MyTown2Go delivers on transporting food

SANDUSKY — For decades, if people wanted food delivered, they could typically only choose pizza or Asian.But a new mobile service, in terms of a car and phone, can bring all sorts of dishes — ribs, burgers, steaks, chicken wings, burritos, Thai, pastas, seafood and more, along with pizza and Asian — to a person's home for a small fee.Available in about 60 cities nationwide, MyTown2Go recently launched in the greater Sandusky area.The area's co-operators, city residents Jim Kimberlin and Andy Daniel, can transport food anywhere in Sandusky and parts of Castalia, Milan and Huron. They plan on soon expanding their delivery region.Through an online ordering system, mytown2go.com/restaurants/sandusky, the company has initially partnered with about a dozen different restaurants. Most of these establishments don't offer delivery service themselves.The choices range from chains to local establishments, such as Jo Wok, Ole Camp Street Tavern, Rapid Fired Pizza and Amaron Italian Restaurant.Both Kimberlin and Daniel said they're unaware of any other business providing this service in Sandusky."We just saw a need to serve this area," Kimberlin said.MyTown2Go co-operators Andy Daniel, left, and Jim Kimberlin stand in front of the Boy with the Boot statue at Washington Park in downtown Sandusky.
