Report: Man broke into portable toilet, robbed woman

SANDUSKY — A woman told police she was in a portable toilet when a man allegedly broke in, grabbed her and stole her purse.The incident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. Monday at the Battery Park Marina on East Water Street, according to a Sandusky police report.The woman claimed she was using the restroom when the suspect allegedly kicked down the door of the portable toilet, the report states. She said the man attempted to grab her groin area and did grab her on the right side of her chest as he allegedly tried to choke her.The woman said she fought the man off but he grabbed her purse from the ground and left the area on a bicycle, according to the report.A passerby told police he also heard yelling and saw a man leave on a bicycle, according to the report.She said the same man approached her on his bicycle earlier in the evening and asked if she needed a place to sleep for the night, which she refused, the report states.The purse contained a camera, cell phone, two passports, keys and money, according to the report.Police described the suspect as a white man in his 50s or 60s with grey hair, which is short on the sides, and a grey beard, the report states.
