Ark of the Covenent in Oak Harbor | Sandusky Register Students at St. Boniface Catholic School in Oak Harbor participated in a hands-on history lesson about the Ark of the Covenant on Friday afternoon. Using a life-sized replica of the religious artifact, Father Tim Ferris taught the students about the history of the Ark and its religious importance. Members of the school's 5th, 6th and 7th-grades took turns carrying the replica through and around the school as their younger classmates followed. Periodically the group would stop to learn about different points in the Ark's history and its importance to the Catholic religion.
