Unique Cold Creek supports Castalia Trout Fishery | Sandusky Register Due to the geology of the bedrock in some sections of Huron and Erie Counties, Cold Creek is the result of precipitation flowing through underground streams, caves, ponds and sinkholes, locally known as "Blue Holes." Approximately 12 million gallons of water flows daily into the Sandusky Bay from its mouth at Venice.
