Kristopher Allen Vickery

Kristopher Allen Vickery, 50, of Bellevue, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015, while vacationing in Costa Rica. He was born Oct. 27, 1964, in Bellevue, the son of Marlin "Muff" and Kathleen (Smith) Vickery. Kris was a 1983 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. In 1993 he graduated from the Providence Hospital School of Radiology, and in 2009 he earned a bachelor's degree in allied health from Siena Heights University. He was employed for almost 15 years at The Bellevue Hospital in the radiology department and was currently employed as a nuclear medicine and radiologic technologist at The Cleveland Clinic, North Coast Cancer Center, in Sandusky, where he delivered compassionate care to his many patients.He was a longstanding member of Eagles Aerie 490, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Certification Board.His many hobbies were golfing, traveling, Harley Davidson motorcycles, sports of all kind, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes (Go Bucks!), and gardening. He enjoyed life to the fullest with his many friends and family. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, friends and family to many countries: Ireland, Kenya, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Cruises, Belize, Mexico and Costa Rica. He fully enjoyed his recent attendance at the Ohio State National Championship game. He was a friend to all and was known for always being the life of the party. He especially enjoyed spending time with his many friends and often hosted many bashes. He will be especially remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, wonderful son, supportive brother, fun-loving uncle and faithful friend. Kris is survived by his wife, Cara (Mazza), whom he married in Miami, Fla.; two children: son, Michael Vickery of Toledo and daughter, Sydney Vickery of Bellevue; three brothers, Lauren (Bore) Vickery of Westland, Mich., Kevin (Cyndi) of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Michael (Susan) of Huron; two sisters, Brenda Gerhardstein of Columbus and Marcia (Dan) Ferguson of Clyde; and his mother, Kathleen Vickery of Bellevue.He is preceded in death by his father, Marlin "Muff" Vickery; and infant sister, Starla Kay.Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a memorial service officiated by the Rev.
