Corso's worker deported

PERKINS TWP. — One of the Corso's workers arrested by immigration agents last week has been deported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesman Khaalid Walls said."(Her) prior deportation order was reinstated and (she) was removed Tuesday of this week," Walls said.The Department of Homeland Security and ICE executed two search warrants at Corso's Garden and Flower Center earlier this month.They arrested 114 workers accused of being undocumented migrants. One of the workers was released the following day after it was found they were a U.S. Citizen.The women were taken to detention facilities in Calhoun, Michigan and the men are detained in Youngstown, Ohio."There are approximately 90 (people) that remain in ICE custody," Walls said on Tuesday. "Beyond that, the investigation is ongoing and there are no substantive updates at this time."ICE didn't respond when asked if anyone had been released on bond. The son of one of the women arrested, however, said his mother has a $10,000 bond.An undocumented immigrant, identified as Amanda, who was arrested at Corso's told Vice news she was given an ankle monitor when she was released, but ICE didn't confirm this when asked by the Register.None of the names of the people arrested by ICE have been released.
