Rennard is a happy bride with her shrinking measurements

I wasn't feeling well toward the beginning of the past week. I got a dose of the common cold and ended up with a cold in my eye. However, I was able to end strong and get in four workouts (one with NOMS personal trainer Shawn Zahel) and keep eating healthy. I'm super excited because I went to Brides World on Saturday and was re-measured. I lost 3 inches since the last time I was measured in late November and I got on the scale today and I have lost 13 pounds since the challenge started. This was the first time I weighed myself since the beginning and I was not expecting that! Shawn kicked my butt during our workout, but it's what I need. I'm going to stay focused and keep pushing forward. I went to the store and bought a few new things to try to amp my nutrition such as quinoa, whole grains, PB2, tons of fruits and veggies and some organic products. I love eating healthy; it makes me feel so good! I still haven't had any coffee or sweets, although my cousins were taunting me with delicious chocolate cake ... lol. I still said, "No!" I get my sweet fix with fruits and protein bars/shakes. One of my weaknesses is ice cream and I have been making frozen yogurt with plain Greek yogurt, fruit or peanut butter and raw honey. It is amazing and really satisfying. I love trying new healthy recipes and I'm getting my family on board. My goal for the this week is to add in some more workouts and new "clean" foods. I want to say I hope FIT Challenger Wendy Schirg feels better and my thoughts are with her! Keep pushing forward, Challengers!
