Introducing Jungle Larry | Sandusky Register 50 years ago, 1965: Another new attraction slated for the 1965 season at Cedar Point would be the addition of Jungle Larry and his Safari Island. The noted adventurer was to have 150 live, wild animals on an island in the lagoon area of the resort.
